Has anyone tried creating a set up similar to this? How did it go, and how much did it cost?

I keep seeing ads for this Imgrem floating desk. It's 800 bucks and probably pretty cheaply made, but I really like the concept and want to build something similar. Does anyone have any experience with similar set ups?
