Hello, so I've been wondering about this community. I'm trying to start a dedicated Fireteam group of as many players as possible who'd be willing to play Fireteam every Saturday at 5pm EST. If a player wanted to miss Fireteam one week, that'll be fine because there will still be enough players to start the lobbies. Please see this post if you need a better understanding of this dedicated group. Please also share this post to others who enjoyed Fireteam not for clout, but to promote these efforts
I believe that there's far more than 40+ people who would happily join this dedicated group. Every time I make a post about Fireteam, almost every classic player says how much they miss it and that it was their favorite mode, and almost every new player says how much they want to play it
Yet when I tell everyone to join Fireteam on Saturdays at 5pm EST, there's never any games (but there are games on Sundays at 3pm EST). This means either not enough players are searching, or they're searching at different times – and I've got a theory as to why this is
Since I've been posting about Fireteam, it's been clear that it often takes ages to find a lobby. I believe that this reputation is stopping many, many players from bothering to even try. However, this is the incorrect attitude and gets us nowhere
It often takes ages to find a Fireteam lobby because either not enough players are searching, or they're searching at different times. I'd like to use this as an opportunity to thank those that do try to search
We Need More Players
Last week, I thought of an idea. If I created a poll post asking how many players are joining Fireteam, and for example 75 players said they'd join, then the average player would go from thinking "There won't be any games, I won't bother searching" to "Wow, lots of people are joining, I'll search this time", because a lobby would be guaranteed and that would encourage them
I recently made this post asking if this community would like Fireteam to become a weekly routine. Even though there wasn't many comments, the votes speak for itself. 80 players is 2 Fireteam lobbies
We Need To Search At Around The Same Time
Now that we've got a strong amount of players searching for Fireteam, to avoid waiting ages for a lobby, we need to search at the exact same time – 5pm EST. For example, if some people search at 5:00, then some search at 5:30, then some search at 6:15, then some search at 7:05, the people searching at the beginning would've got annoyed and left
This will cause a chain reaction of people getting annoyed and leaving. Don't worry if you're a few minutes off, because the early players will still be searching for plenty of time. Hell, don't worry if you're a few hours off, because for all you know, we could've found a lobby and you can still join. I'm just advising that you search as closely to 5pm EST as possible. Now that we've got a strong amount of players searching for Fireteam, and at the correct time, lobbies will become more common. This will fix it's reputation for being impossible to play, further encouraging more people to join
