Fighting EX Layer was originally released back in 2018. As it’s been so long, it’s a fighting game that’s ultimately no longer being updated. We probably shouldn’t expect a surprise update like with the announcement of the Dragon Ball FighterZ balance patch even though it was released within the same year.
Regardless, there might not be a more perfect time to pick up Fighting EX Layer. As it turns out, Fighting EX Layer has received a major price reduction, allowing fighting game fans to add it to their collection for virtually nothing.
The Steam page for Fighting EX Layer is now listing the game at $0.99. Upon checking the PlayStation store, we noticed that the game can also be picked up for Sony devices at that price as well.
Funnily enough, picking up a set of colors to use in-game actually costs more than the rest of the game. Individual color packages can be acquired for $4.99.
The base roster for Fighting EX Layer is made up of Allen Snider, Blair Dame, Darun Mister, Doctrine Dark, Garuda, Hayate Kamite, Jack, Kairi, Sanane, Shadowgeist, Shirase and Skullomania.
Area, Hokuto, Pullum Purna, Sharon and Vulcano Rosso would later join the cast as DLC. SNK’s Terry Bogard is also present as the game’s only guest character.
When the game was released, it was originally priced at $59.99. As such, its price has now been reduced to a mere 60th of what it was first sold at. Overall, it sounds like an amazingly good deal for hardcore fighting game fans.
