To begin, please comment/copy-paste one of these two things – "Yes, I'll be searching for Fireteam games this Saturday at 5pm EST" or "No, I won't be searching for Fireteam this week"
Again, excuse the long post. Following Wednesday's post, if you're a seasoned Cold War player who'd like to play Fireteam again, or you're a new player who never got to play Fireteam and would like to, this is your chance. I'm establishing a dedicated Fireteam group and I'd like you and your other Cold War allies to be a part of it
This post was supposed to be a poll, however it won't allow me to create a poll post on PC for whatever reason, and I don't like Reddit on my phone. By this time next week, hopefully I'll figure something out
The reason why I wanted to create a poll post was because if you want to play Fireteam and you see that over 40 other people said "Yes, I'll be searching for Fireteam games this Saturday at 5pm EST", that means a lobby is guaranteed, which will encourage you to join. This will create a chain reaction, encouraging even more people to join. To represent the numbers of this poll, I will be counting the votes and editing the post's text to update the poll
Because you see, due to the mode's rareness, it's been known that people have searched for 60+ minutes for a Fireteam game. This is obviously very discouraging. Therefore with a poll, if you see that over 40 other people said they're joining this week at the exact same time, that means that there will be no annoying wait, which will encourage you to join. Again, it'll create a chain reaction, encouraging even more people to join. Genius, I know
To avoid waiting for ages for a lobby, we need to search for a game at the exact same time. For example, if some people search at 5:00, then some search at 5:30, then some search at 6:15, then some search at 7:05, the people searching at the beginning would've got annoyed and left the search. This will cause a chain reaction of people getting annoyed and leaving
If we all search at the exact same time, there will be no wait, it'll be as easy as finding a TDM game. Don't worry if you're a few minutes off, because the early players will still be searching for plenty of time yet. Don't worry if you're a few hours off, because for all you know, the early players could be on their 5th game and you can still join. I'm just advising that you search as closely to 5pm as possible for the reasons above
I also advise those who search to please remain patient, because we still need a window for players to join our search. By the way, here's how to search for Fireteam:
- Press the Fireteam button (it's on the right of this post)
- Go play something else, watch YouTube, read a book about Lamborghinis, etc
- Wait 15 minutes
- If there's a game, fantastic. If the screen says "Failed to host lobby", that means there wasn't enough people searching, but there will be soon. Press the Fireteam button again
Remember, if everyone searches at the exact same time, you won't be waiting and a game will be immediate. If you'd like to learn more about this dedicated Fireteam group, please see this post where I give a decent rundown
