Like why are we bitching about a thing that was a ONE time situation.
Carry forward doesn't even make sense for this game considering the massive time jump. MWII to MWIII worked because the era was the same.
People don't want corny skins in a game that actually has a distinct art style and direction for once.
This is exactly like modern warfare 2019 fans expecting every cod to be realistic just because ONE game did it.
