The Ryzen 2400g survived and a few lessons were learned.
I replaced the crappy, Intel style thermal paste (actually phase changing material) since direct die isn't possible without dremeling the crap out of the heatsink.
It runs much cooler now (around 20C less) with lower fan speeds. It also needs 0.03V more to be stable because capacitors are overrated 🙃
