SNK appears to be teasing something related to characters that hail from the Art of Fighting series. During a clip that lasts for only eight seconds, we see a Tengu mask sitting on a table followed by a coin being flipped by someone’s hand.
Those familiar with the Art of Fighting franchise will probably recognize these as being the signatures for Mr. Karate (Takuma Sakazaki’s alter ego) and Robert Garcia. Notably, both of these characters are currently absent from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
At this moment, the characters that have joined Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as DLC are Andy, Ken (from Street Fighter) and Joe. Next up is supposed to be Chun-Li and Mr. Big (who also happens to hail from the Art of Fighting series).
Players will be able to preview Chun-Li early at DreamHack Atlanta on November 1, 2025. We have to imagine the character will be ready to be released soon around that time as well.
Considering that there are only two characters remaining for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ first DLC wave, it’s possible that SNK could be leaving the breadcrumbs for a second season of post-launch content. If that’s the case, then this would suggest that Mr. Karate and Robert Garcia are set to join the lineup.
Other fans are speculating that this could be a hint at a new Art of Fighting game that’s being worked on. Alternatively, it could also be a sneak peek at another remake for another of SNK’s older games. This is something that they’ve been doing a lot of recently.
Be sure to check it all out in the clip below and let us know your theories in the comments section.
