C. Viper recently joined the Street Fighter 6 roster as the second Season 3 character. Only Ingrid and Alex remain for this DLC wave.
Most DLC characters that have joined Street Fighter 6 start off being a little on the weaker side, but it’s pretty typical for them to become meta relevant starting in the next season. However, it would seem that Punk has already been able to win a small tournament using his day 1 C. Viper.
Of course, Punk decided to steam his entire experience of using C. Viper in a variety of different match ups. He ends up facing off against Elena, Rashid, Cammy, Kimberly, Sagat and M. Bison over the course of his run.
Punk already has a number of C. Viper’s tough combos working in his favor. It’s important to note that C. Viper relies heavily of feint cancelling her Thunder Dash and Seismic Hammer specials in order to achieve greater amounts of frame advantage from her normals.
By the end of the video, Punk provides a brief analysis about C. Viper’s potential in the current meta for Street Fighter 6. Overall, C. Viper is the type of character that will only be played by a few dedicated players.
Punk notes that C. Viper is “not bad,” but also mentions that his fingers were hurting by the end of the tournament. Though C. Viper is fun, Punk thinks it will be difficult to justify playing her over characters with access to simple combos that are just as damaging to the opponent’s health bar.
