The premium game for premium gamers went on sale a couple of days ago even though it was released on steam only 1 month ago.
Newly released games don't go on sale this early usually. This highlights that the game has underperformed financially (lower prices=increased demand, if the game had performed well they wouldn't have put the game on sale).
Keep in mind that that financial performance is measured in profit not revenue (profit=revenue-expenses). Although we know that sales have been strong this doesn't necessarily translate into high profitability, most likely due to expenses (we don't have access to the numbers but again, the game going on sale speaks for itself)
