Are the bottles in the game supposed to be huge or is it just a quirk of the design?

Every time a character is drinking a beer, the bottle looks huge. Are these supposed to be large 22oz/32oz beers or are they supposed to be standard-sized 12oz beers but the models are just a bit off?
