We’re a group of friends playing on EUW, Each of us has around 1,000 hours and a roughly 15% win rate in normal or win streak modes, so we are pretty decent at the game (or we thought).
At the start of this season, ranked didn’t seem too bad. 5 placement matches were pretty easy, we even won a couple of games after that so we got to up to Gold I / Plat IV effortlessly, so thought it’d be smooth climbing. We stopped for 1 month cuz 2 of our guys went traveling then we started playing again last week, but this time we got absolutely stomped. We can barely get a kill anymore, opponents either just melt us instantly or nail us with pinpoint precision nates and molly.
At one point, we were driving on a bumpy road, enemies about 150 meters away, and they shredded three of us in seconds. The last guy managed to escape, only to get sniped from 500 meters away. We were convinced they were cheating, but they all got tons of expensive cosmetics and all are high level.
We’ve dropped from Gold I / Plat IV all the way down to Silver now. So… are we just dogshit, or is ranked actually full of cheaters?
