Some of you might remember my last post [link to older post] , where I shared how I got scammed while trying to sell my CODM account. It was a tough lesson — I lost trust, time, and money, and it stung more than I expected.
Well… here’s an update. I’ve regained full access to my account! 🎉
I can’t go into the details of how, because, well, let’s just say the scammers are still around and reading these posts. But let’s just say it wasn’t through Activision support, and I had to be careful every step of the way.
The guy who scammed me — previously under the name Emotional-Block3103 and now u/ScaryWatercress1176— even tried multiple times to trick me into giving him my FB login to take the account back. Thankfully, I didn’t fall for it again. One scam was enough for a lifetime lesson.
The biggest takeaway? Stay away from buying or selling “cheap” accounts. No matter how convincing someone seems, it’s just not worth it. I’ve had my fair share of experience, and trust me — it’s a trap.
That said, the day turned around on a high note. With just 100 CP left in my account, I tried my luck at the USS Mythic, and… got it on the 3rd draw! Seems like CODM was saving all the luck for me today. 😄
Just wanted to share this happy moment with the community, along with the reminder to be careful out there. Sometimes lessons come with a silver lining. And seriously, don’t deal with u/ScaryWatercress117 under any circumstances!
