My Ryzen 5 7600X is being severely power-limited on an MSI Pro B650-S WiFi motherboard. It should pull around 140W under load but maxes out at 95W in Prime95 and 74W in Cinebench.

Quick stats (HWiNFO64):

  • Prime95: 95W, 68°C, PPT at 66%, EDC stuck at 45%
  • Cinebench: 74W, 62°C, PPT at 51%. Scores: 11420 Multi-core, 1425 Single-core
  • Temps are way too low (<69 C), not thermal throttling
  • Performance scores are below expected

Already tried:

  • Manual PBO limits (140W/95A/140A)
  • Latest BIOS (official)
  • Reset BIOS settings to default, enabled PBO and EXPO

The problem: EDC limit stuck at 45% suggests VRM/power delivery can't handle the 7600X's current draw, even though MSI lists this CPU as compatible. Clock is speed is always maxed to 4.45GHz

Has anyone successfully run a 7600X at full power on this board? Any suggestions?
