Manticore’s “gloriously chaotic multiplayer roguelike” Out of Time officially rolls into the launch today, invoking the legacy of the MMO genre to do it.

“Today, Manticore Games is launching Out of Time, a 3D multiplayer roguelike game inspired by MMOs, action RPGs and the glorious pursuit of endless adventures,” the announcement reads. “In Out of Time, the timelines have all collided, leaving survivors to journey and battle through fractured worlds filled with corrupted enemies and brutal bosses. Fortunately, mankind will be armed with the best gear from past, present and future, giving survivors an endless combination of weaponry and powers to save mankind yet again.”

The studio says it’s launching with three regions corresponding to three timey-wimey eras – medieval, modern, and wasteland – with solarpunk coming in November (prehistoric and cyberpunk are also teased on the official website). If you’re wondering about Steam, yes, that’s happening too, along with the console launch and PvP and MOBA modes in 2026, which kinda makes this seem more like an early access, though Manticore is not characterizing it that way. The EGS version of the game is $24.99 today.
