After several years of co-locating my work desk and game desk, I finally broke off my gaming area into its own space, with all the TCG, RPGs, and board games not pictured in multiple Kallax/Expedit shelves on the remaining walls.

  • Barely seen in this photo – two sets of Govee light bars mounted behind the monitors – plenty of ambient light for me, setup to capture main monitor and react to colors onscreen.
  • Not pictured, Aeron chair.
  • Monstertech used for the joystick mounts, as Aeron chair mounts for joysticks are not easily accomplished.
  • VKB Gladiator NXT joysticks are mounted on quick-change mounts so that I can remove the joysticks and tuck them on the shelf behind the monitors when not playing mech sims. Pedals with a couple velcro tabs on the bottom to prevent them from moving during sessions.
  • Small displays are used with GameGlass for macros and reference material
  • Cat #2 occupies the cubby to the right – he prefers that bed even though it doesn't quite fit. Cat #1 enjoys a lower Kallax cubby on a different wall where he can observe more carefully.
