What we like about this gaming PC
RTX 5080
For most people looking for amazing 1440p and 4K performance, this would be our choice of GPU. The RTX 5080 is exceptional for both, especially when you use DLSS and MFG. In its raw state, it’s a powerful card that can handle games like Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K, ultra settings, with Ray Tracing at around 35fps. When we threw DLSS performance mode with MFG x4, we saw it reach 183fps, however. To get a more in-depth idea of what to expect from this card, be sure to check out our review of the RTX 5080 FE.
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
This is probably the most common CPU to pair with this graphics card, and it’s also our top pick for the 5080, too. We were seriously impressed with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D in our testing, and, as expected, it offers incredible gaming performance. Unlike some of the higher core and thread count options, this processor goes for a moderate 8 cores and 16 threads. It features a very fast 5.2GHz boost clock speed and massive 96MB L3 cache, which is only really beaten by the top dog Ryzen 9 9950X3D, which comes in at 128MB. If you want a CPU that can handle very high FPS gaming at high resolutions, along with being able to handle heavy-duty productivity and creative tasks, then this is the one for you.
64GB RAM and 2TB SSD
For the price, this gaming PC packs a hefty amount of RAM and comes with a much more usable 2TB of storage, compared to your standard 1TB options. The RAM is DDR5 and is high-speed at 5600 MT/s. The SSD is a Gen5 option, which is not always the case, even with RTX 5080 prebuilts. In fact, it’s one of Gigabyte’s own, and is an absolute monster when it comes to read and write speeds, coming in at 14,500 MB/s/ 12,700 MB/s. That’s probably the fastest NVMe SSDs we’ve come across in a prebuilt gaming PC, and it’ll make all the difference for both gaming and productivity.

Who’s this deal for?
This is one of the best RTX 5080 gaming PCs we’ve come across, and unlike others, which throw in components from different brands, Gigabyte goes pretty much all-in with its own gear. From the PC case to the cooling, and even the SSD, you’re getting seriously high-end quality and performance for just under $3000, which puts it only a couple of hundred dollars over some of the lower spec RTX 5080 alternatives.
There are plenty of RTX 5080 gaming PCs on sale right now, as in the last month or so, we’ve seen 50-series prices start to come down closer to where they should be, as well as the Ryzen 7 9800X3D dropping away from its original MSRP.
