Hey everyone,
I could use some advice on optimizing my RAM. I’m running:
• Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO (BIOS FA5a)
• CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X3D
• RAM: Kingston KF560C30-32 (32 GB DDR5-6000, Hynix A-Die, dual rank)
Right now, I’m on the EXPO profile (screenshot attached from HWiNFO). These are the stock timings it applies. I’ve tried tweaking based on different guides and other posts (tightening primaries, adjusting subtimings, playing with voltages, etc.), but every attempt so far has actually resulted in worse benchmark scores compared to just leaving EXPO as-is.
So far EXPO seems to give me the best performance, as I do something wrong. Even after hour and hours of reading/watching guides and trails, i feel i still not understand ram timing. but I guess there should still be some room for improvement with Hynix A-die.
My questions:
1. Are these EXPO timings already well-optimized for my kit, or am I missing something?
2. Which timings/voltages should I focus on adjusting first for noticeable gains?
3. Any recommended starting points for stable but faster-than-EXPO results on Hynix A-die?
Thanks in advance! Any input from people with similar setups would be super helpful.
