(8-25-25) It seems that fights and shootings are becoming a part of high school football games.
This past weekend in at least three states this is what happened.
OHIO
The incident below took place on Friday night when Cincinnati Taft was leading Jeffersonville (Indiana) 37-0 with about seven minutes left in the fourth quarter.
It was started when Jeffersonville’s quarterback was gang-tackled and then pushed into the Jeffersonville sideline.

Heightened security concerns at Stargel Stadium, which had previously moved games due to a series of shootings. Cincinnati Public Schools had increased security measures, including the use of metal detectors and hiring three off-duty Cincinnati police officers for the game. Two officers were visible on the outskirts of the scuffle and called for backup.
