Developer Cyber Space Biotope and publisher Playism have announced that Million Depth, a time-stopping, timeline-shifting action strategy game, is launching for PC via Steam on November 12, 2025. A playable demo is also set to arrive in September, offering players access to one of the full game’s three narrative routes.

A new trailer was released showcasing the game’s central themes and mechanics. It introduces players to Moma, the protagonist navigating a million-floors-deep underground world in search of her lost friend. The trailer also features the theme song “Re,Future,” performed by singer-songwriter VTuber Ririsya. Notably, some scenes in the trailer depict timelines that don’t actually appear in the game, hinting at a broader meta-narrative centered on parallel worlds and fragmented truths.
Tactical Combat with a Time-Twisting Twist
Million Depth builds its strategic combat around the “biotope jammer,” a device that freezes time as long as Moma remains motionless. This mechanic allows players to think through encounters in a world filled with hostile creatures. Combat also includes weapon and shield durability, demanding careful planning and timely repairs mid-fight.
Crafting and Bartering in the Depths

Players can craft a wide range of equipment using modular block-based components. Blocks can be stacked and upgraded to create everything from guns to shields, encouraging experimentation. Bartering also plays a role in the progression loop, shops don’t use currency, instead requiring players to trade items while considering fluctuating market values and the ever-changing mood of the shopkeepers.
A rare underground material called stockinum adds another layer to trading. Its constantly shifting value pushes players to strategize their inventory management and trading decisions more carefully.
Demo Details and Save Carryover
The September demo includes Route α, the first of the game’s three main story paths. It introduces key systems and begins a branching narrative with multiple outcomes based on player choices. Progress in the demo can be transferred to the full release.
VTuber Ririsya to Perform “Re,Future” Live
To celebrate the trailer’s release, Ririsya will perform “Re,Future” live during the second half of her fifth anniversary livestream concert, taking place today, August 23, at 9:00 PM JST on YouTube. The stream will also include her impressions from playing a demo build of Million Depth, along with performances of her original songs. The archive will be available for those who miss it live.
