Not every build has to make sense on paper. I know we always break things down to price per frame, but every once in a while I catch myself staring at a setup and going "damn, that’s a piece of art."
The other day I stumbled on this Evangelion EVA02 themed full bundle. Case, cooler, GPU (4090 OC no less), Z790 board, even down to the keyboard and mouse combo all coordinated in the EVA02 aesthetic. It’s not a deal. It’s not a steal. It’s just sick.
Like yeah, I get it. "You can build the same spec cheaper." Sure. But if you’re an Evangelion fan or someone who appreciates a rare themed rig that’s actually available and not a 6 month Japan only preorder, it kinda hits different. I’ve been in the game long enough to know that 70% of builds are about sensible performance, but there’s that 30% crowd that just builds what they want because it feels good.
