Apparently plugging it all the way in didn't prevent this from happening ðŸ˜
The card could still play games with this burnt cable btw, and because of that, I thought burnt cable would cause the card to not even turn on, so I was trying to troubleshoot for the black screen and blue screen, I thought it was driver issues or conflicting software, there weren't any smoke that I was able to catch, there weren't any visible damage on the outside, not even on the power connector.
I have used the 5090 for 5 months now(not using afterburner or anything I basically just plug and play), 3 months in and I was confident enough to replace the cooling fan with the Alphacool waterblock… I will try to get RMA for this, if I can't get it because I took it apart for the waterblock, I'm screwed
