According to the patch notes damage of DMR's was reduced by 12% (except VSS). I calculated the new damages for all DMR's:

So after the patch there really isn't any reason to pick 5.56 DMR's over M16. DMR's having higher recoil it's better to just take the M16 which is also easier to find. Mini having less damage than M16 and the same damage as QBZ and Scar-L is just ridiculous. Even the damage dropoff curve is about the same between AR's and DMR's.
7.62 DMR's however could still be viable because of the higher damage before the nerf. SKS now has less damage than AKM.
edit: Mutant base damage is actually 49 not 43. So it might be better option than SLR and certainly better option than SKS.
