i bought a quad channel set of 8 gb because it was a "deal". also because it felt good to finally have all 4 filled after nearly 7 years on that cpu, no practical reasons…

used to run 2×8 @ 2400mhz. i 've only even run that pc with that config on channel 2, per friends rec.

new set does 3200 mhz on channel 2 (ports 2 and 4 on the motherboard),

picture shows the pc specs, while running on channel 2.

doesnt on channel 1.

just doesnt.

Bios flashed to latest non beta update (2022)

chipset updated.

gpu updated (not like that matters)

running channel 1 isolated results in 1 failed start then the pc turns to non xmp (despite having two tries ?)

impossible to get it to accept 1.4v. wont start. so i decided to ask here.

motherboard should support 3400+

cpu should support 3400+

paper says the 2600x supports up to 2667 on two channels… why does it support 3200 on one when it's sheet says 2933? am i missing something?

is it possible to clock it somewhere inbetween?
