Japan’s ace Hiroki Ikeda has been named the Most Valuable Player of The World Games Men’s Softball competition. The tournament’s All-World Team was also unveiled, with all four medalling nations represented.
Ikeda was the cornerstone of Japan’s gold-medal campaign, pitching 17 of the team’s 25 defensive innings. He led the tournament in wins (2), complete games (2), innings pitched (17) and strikeouts (23).
