On that far shore, forlorn.

When I unlocked Sevagoth in Warframe, I spent a good hour carefully selecting colors, attachments, and so forth to make sure that I had the nicest-looking Sevagoth possible. I know that it was an hour because I then jumped into Sanctuary Onslaught and leveled him up to 30 in about 25 minutes, at which point I immediately threw him into the Helminth. In other words, I spent more time making sure that a frame I would never use again after leveling looked cool. I definitely spent far more time doing that than I spent learning how to play him. I just needed that ability for my Garuda build, and that was that.

Of course, some MMOs do not really reward you for playing around with fashion. Today, I’m curious about which MMORPGs have gotten you to spend the most time on your outfit. Which games get you the most eager to decorate and pick out colors and make yourself look as good as possible, sometimes to the detriment of playing the actual game or using your time efficiently?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
