Street Fighter 6 Season 3 has been in the hands of players for about a month and a half now, and some of the community is starting to discuss the new meta for the game’s third year.
Longtime competitor 801 Strider recently put together his first Season 3 tier list for Street Fighter 6 and discussed the ranks he put all the characters in.
There’s two fighters in particular who Strider believes to be ahead of the rest of the pack being Mai Shiranui and JP.
For Mai, Strider notes her great normals, pressure game, throw loops and fan toss as what puts her in the S tier category.
JP, on the other hand, is still crazy strong in his eyes because of his level 2 Super, Burnout pressure and stacked corner game though he is more difficult to use effectively than Mai.
While Ryu is probably the most buffed man in the world right now, Strider puts him a step lower in A+ tier with his high damage output and ability to pressure and interrupt.
The poster boy Shoto shares that rank with other strong fighters we’ve been seeing like Akuma, M. Bison, Terry, Rashid and Dee Jay.
On the lower end of the spectrum, Strider has five characters in the B to C tier category including some usual suspects like Lily, E. Honda and Marisa.
As for the newest addition to the game, Elena is placed as the worst character in SF6 right now with not great normals, gimmicky pressure and big hurtboxes that hold her back though he notes she does have potential with some buffs.
You can check out 801 Strider’s full unordered Season 3 tier list below as well as his discussion video, but be aware there is some strong language present.
