  1. I think that the verification is a soft release for specific users who have a high marketplace volume, outside of buying cases.
That would give the devs more data and time for a full release, which impacts everyone.
Alternatively, they are targeting only players who buy and sell a lot of skins on the marketplace.

  2. I already have it, it basically asks it for one time and then allows without restrictions for some time (probably one session)

  3. so as a person who got it enabled, no you dont accept every single item purchased, if you buy cases it ask to confirm the transaction, which basicly is like accepting a trade offer via steam mobile and there you get shown the quantity, item and the price hope it helps

  4. I do have to confirm through the app and yes if you want to sell 10 case you have to check a circle on a list then hit confirm its not terribly annoying but I can see it being a problem if you sell a TON of stuff

  5. Its a good thing for security measure if your account gets compromised and use ur steam funds but on other hand its annoying for example I was trying to get this skin with the pattern and stickers i liked just to be sniped or purchased someone else because steam told to confirm it on the mobile.

  6. I had to do one verification, then I could go through and instant buy multiple items without having to accept every single item purchased

  7. I have it enabled since Yesterday, I think, I THINK okay. take my comment with a pinch of salt. I think its because of a lot of market activity on your account valve or steam send these security verification also could be because of a lot of trading skins which I do on a daily basis.

  8. This is a good thing. If you buy in bulk it only asks you to verify that transaction, not all individual items.

  9. I have it on my account. From what Ive noticed if a skin is newly listed or at a price deemed too low or oddly price it promps on your phone to auth the purchase. With that said I was trying to snipe the new charms attached to cheap 3 cent skins from the major and all the 3 cent listings wanted authentication but normal trade with items listed for what appears to be normal price or listed a while never asked for phone auth. My guess is its to stop bots sniping items and also that extra layered protection on items listed above or below what the average price is to stop people listing an item and buying it from a stolen account with their balance

  10. I was mass buying 10c skins and then this buy confirmation came up I was like well guess I’m never doing this again but it only asked me for the first one so I guess that device can then keep buying for a little while

  11. One part of me is saying "let them cook, they gotta be preparing something" and the other is nah, valve will be valve

  12. Bro what are these cs zombies gamemodes you're playing in your vids, i want to try them all, they look sick

  13. I also have it on my account. It also helps preventing scammers who got hold of your account trying to buy a cheap skin by a very high price to transfer steam wallet credits to their account. This way you'd get notified about it first and can prevent the transaction.

  14. So VALVE don't want to update that VAC anticheat because they sell the cheat and make more money than you think.

  15. dude I got mental damage of it. Wanted do do a tradeup with specific float skins, and they forced me to place buy orders, done the tradeup lost 2/3 of the money… cause of the steam guard problem, I got 15 day market delay so I cant sell anything from tradeups or trade

  16. I don't play allot of cs anymore, cs2 still feels half-baked, the anti-cheat is non-existent, causing people to accuse everyone of cheating even when everyone is legit, the community servers are dead, surfing is still broken, premiere is bothersome to play, normal competitive has no rank consistency because you have a different one for each map, premiere too has completely random ratings, the whole thing is a complete mess and I yearn for cs:go and how things used to be… They were never perfect, but at least it was fun.

  17. the steam guard buying thing came up for me once after buying a skin for $70. bought 10 more super cheap skins and it didnt come up again

  18. I got the authentication message yesterday when buying a skin. Later same day I bought another skin and I didnt have to authenticate again. So bulk buying wont be a problem if you just authenticate once.
