Meta Quest 3S (256GB) | $399.99 $329 at Amazon

I found a record-low price on the 128GB Meta Quest 3S earlier in the day, but the larger 256GB model has just dropped as well. You’ll find this Batman: Arkham Shadow bundle available for $329.99 this Prime Day, a full $70 off its original $399.99 MSRP. I’ve only ever seen this one dip to $349 in the past.

Will more Prime Day deals hit the shelves later in the sale?

In my five years of covering Prime Day deals, I’ve always seen more official discounts hitting the shelves on day two of the event. This year’s a little different, though.

We’ve got four days of offers to sift through this week, and that could change the way Amazon dishes out its savings. This is the first time the brand has opted to extend its summer sale across a whole week, so there’s no precedent for the number of new discounts we could see in the later days.

However, there are still a number of products that I would have expected to drop their prices overnight still sitting at MSRP. Things like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, for example. If you had asked me last week, I’d say this was a surefire bet for Prime Day – it was even on sale for a close-to-record-low just before the weekend.

Based on what I’ve seen from this year’s sale so far, and my experience covering previous events, I’m confident there will be more offers filtering onto the shelves in the coming days.

One of my favorite headsets just hit a record-low price

And it’s under $100!

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X impressed me right from the outset with its excellent audio quality and ingenious app full of presets for a massive range of games. Its $149.99 starting price wasn’t too bad either – of course, I’d certainly take today’s $99.74 Prime Day deal instead.

This is technically the cheapest this model has ever been, as I’ve only ever seen it for $99.99 in previous sales – and that was all the way back in December.

This GPU deal is actually just MSRP

And Newegg has it cheaper anyway.

Amazon has the Asus Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GPU up for $429.99 (supposedly down $50 from its $479.99 starting price). The only problem is most of these graphics cards have an MSRP of $429.99 already – Prime Day is just stabilizing inflated rates.

The final nail in this Prime Day deal’s coffin is Newegg’s competing offer. You’ll find the same card available for $419.99 over there instead.

Duncan’s asking the big questions

The Azeron Cyborg II's pink grip tape

Azeron Cyborg II | $240 $204 at Amazon

Seriously, though – what would happen if a keyboard and a controller had a baby. Duncan’s just found a discount on one of his absolute favorite PC gaming accessories (trust me, a lot of conversations come back to the Azeron Cyborg II). It’s not exactly a bargain buy, but if you don’t get on with the more traditional keyboard and mouse setup, today’s $204 sales price is well worth a look.

How long is Amazon Prime Day 2025?

Amazon Prime Day is a four-day event this year, that’s double the length of previous sales. We’ll be enjoying discounts all the way through July 11 this time around, though we don’t know yet how much today’s deals are going to change as we get further into the sale.

2025-07-08T12:30:38.225Z
Are cheaper Amazon brands worth it?

This isn’t my first rodeo, I know that the cheapest Prime Day deals for gamers often come from bizarrely-named Amazon-only brands. Of course, I’m only included the gadgets we’ve tested and recommended on GamesRadar+ in my top list and some of those products do fall into this category.

In general, though, you’ll need to use a little common sense to know when to trust a budget buy. There are three things you’ll need to look for if you’re going it alone:

1. Verified reviews

A lot of these bargain brands will use fake reviews to get to the top of search pages. Look for verified purchase reviews with photos to make sure you’re getting the real deal.

2. Don’t trust anything with all five-star reviews

Of course, these manufacturers also pay for reviews. If that’s happening, you’ll see a lot of five-star reviews and almost no one-stars. That’s just not realistic – even the best product in the world is going to have its haters for one reason or another. This is a major red flag for me.

3. Make sure reviews are for the product you’re buying

If they’re feeling particularly sneaky, a bad apple will generate a bunch of positive reviews on a listing page, only to change the product that’s actually being sold there. If you see reviews mentioning features or uses that don’t make sense for the product you’re buying, it’s time to run.

Meta Quest 3S | $299.99 $249 at Amazon

I’ve just been looking through Amazon’s best-seller list and was intrigued by the Meta Quest 3S. The affordable VR headset is always among these most popular products, but it’s Prime Day so I’ve clicked through. What do you know? It’s cheaper than it’s ever been before.

You’ll find the 128GB version available for $249 right now where it’s only ever dipped to $269.99 in previous sales, that’s a full $50 discount.

Here’s how to make your keyboard sound better for less than $5

There are two super cheap Prime Day deals that can have your keyboard absolutely singing – for less than $5. Tape mods and o-rings have been used by custom keyboard hobbyists for years now, and they cost far less than a brand new gasket-mounted deck. I’ve just hit publish on a guide to using both accessories in your setup, but you can head straight to the good stuff below.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is back on sale

in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows | $69.99 $47.99 at Amazon

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was always high on my hit list for this year’s Prime Day deals. A Ubisoft open world with more than three months on the clock? That’s a shoo-in for a hefty saving.

The latest instalment was $49.99 for a few days before the weekend, only to jump back up to its $69.99 MSRP just before the event itself. Now, it’s down slightly lower – at $47.99.

Andrew gave this one 4/5 stars on review back in March, praising its dual-protagonists (and the different combat playstyles they offer) and gorgeous scenery. The story was a little disappointing, though.

One of my favorite Steam Deck docks just hit a new record low

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

The Jsaux 5-in-1 Steam Deck dock holds a special place in my heart. Not only did it beat Valve’s official docking station to market, serving as the first available hub for the handheld gaming PC, but it’s formula set the bar for all other options. These days, it’s considered entry-level since it only has two USB ports, a single HDMI, and Ethernet on the side, but that means you can grab it for under $19 this Prime Day.

Whether you’re looking to put together a sleeper PC setup, or you just love the NES, you’ll want to take a peek at 8Bitdo’s Retro R8 mouse. Prime Day has knocked the wireless rodent down under $40, and while its aesthetic feels like a retro gimmick, it boasts 2.4Ghz wireless, Kailh Sword GM X Micro Switches, a 26K optical sensor, and one of the most attractive charging bases in existence. It normally stays pretty solidly at $50, so now’s your chance to catch the mouse at its lowest.

Amazon just knocked 42% off a Fire TV stick and controller while saying “this is an Xbox”

Microsoft is convinced that “everything is an Xbox” these days, and Amazon seems in on that idea too. Thanks to Prime Day, you can grab a Fire TV 4K stick, an Xbox Wireless Controller, and 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate to get you started for under $78. If you’ve got a solid at-home internet connection and like the idea of streaming games rather than owning a console or physical media, this will be up your street.

Psst, UK retro fans can grab an even better Atari deal

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

Maybe I’m overreacting, but the fact Amazon UK has the Atari 2600+ for under £40 is making me lose it a little. I’ve already messaged a bunch of my retro-loving comrades about the Prime Day deal since this HDMI console used to cost around £100, and this 61% feels like it won’t stick around much longer.

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

I won’t lie, while I’ve been hoping for some great retro console discounts, I wasn’t expecting the Atari 7800+ to drop under $60. Yet, Prime Day has slashed 54% off the system to bring it to a record low, and it’s even cheaper than its older 2600+ sibling. Some of you might still want to grab the woodgrain VCS version instead since it boasts the same original cart compatibility and HDMI output, but the former does come with Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest and a wireless gamepad.

This handheld is hands down my favorite way to play old Sega games on the go

Hands holding Anbernic RG ARC-D with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 gameplay on screen.

I’ve tested more retro handhelds than the average hardware editor, but out of them all, the Anbernic RG ARC-D remains supreme for emulating old Sega consoles. The reason? Well, you may have spotted that it looks like an old Japanese Saturn controller, complete with disc D-pad and colorful face buttons, but it’s also a punchy Android portable with dual boot capabilities.

Simply put, this handheld can handle everything right up to the Dreamcast, and being able to tap into Android makes it something of a powerhouse. While it’s technically not a “Prime Day” discount, the RG ARC-D is sitting at a record-low price at Amazon right now, and it’s well worth grabbing before more expensive stock replaces the existing supply.

Yes, I know batteries are boring, but they’re a Prime Day essential

Rechargeable AA batteries with yellow and black charger next to original Game Boy on woodgrain desk.

Look, I’d rather spend my money on fancy new handhelds too. But, the reality is that if you use Xbox controllers or even old Game Boy consoles, you’ll end up spending cash on AA cells. Therefore, I decided this year to take control of the situation and pick up a rechargeable lithium kit using Prime Day. There’s an abundance of sets at Amazon, but I opted for a 3,600mAh 8-pack of cells with a charger case since they’ll maintain a constant 1.5V power and should last over 1,600 charge cycles.

My favorite 4K OLED monitor just dropped under $1,000

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

I test a lot of gaming monitors, and the fact my living room looks like a warehouse at all times should be evidence of that. So, when I tell you that no 4K display has managed to impress me quite as much as the LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B, you should absolutely take note, not least because Prime Day has knocked $415.99 off the punchy panel.

If you need a shortlist of reasons to buy, just know that this LG display offers up exceptional dual resolution abilities that make it both a 4K 240Hz and 1080p 480Hz screen. That negates the need to choose between a gorgeous OLED and an ultrafast model for esports, and that alone should help it stay as your daily driver for years. It’s also just ridiculously vibrant thanks to LG’s panel tech, and it honestly gives my pricey OLED C4 TV a run for its money.

My favorite controller happens to be Pac-Man themed and 25% cheaper for Prime Day

Pac-Man PowerA controller sitting on woodgrain desk.

I’m a complete sucker for retro-themed nonsense, and while the Pac-Man PowerA Wireless Controller is certainly that, it’s also a solid gamepad. It rocks hall-effect thumbsticks, three-way trigger locks for enhanced tactility, and a glow-in-the-dark shell that makes it absolutely look the part in a game room. However, the main thing to get excited about is its current Prime Day price, with $25 off, it’s now a pretty affordable pro controller for nostalgia nerds and gamepad users alike.

Best Buy just smashed Amazon’s Lenovo Legion Go S offer

Lenovo Legion Go S with FlyKnight gameplay on screen featuring player character holding bow and arrow with enemy ant in backdrop.

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

It’s safe to say the Lenovo Legion Go S was a bit too expensive at launch, especially when it comes to the top model. However, Amazon and Best Buy are in a bit of a price war over the handheld right now, as the latter big box store just kicked it down under $500. That’s pretty spectacular, seeing as the best the actual Prime Day sale can seem to offer is the 16GB /512GB model for $589.99, whereas Best Buy is rocking a discount on the 32GB / 1TB release.

Just keep in mind that the Ryzen Z2 GO chip within these handhelds isn’t as punchy as the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Therefore, if performance is more of a priority than better design and ergonomics, you’ll want to still peek at the OG Lenovo Legion Go and Asus ROG Ally.

Ayn Odin 2 | $449 $399 at Amazon

The Ayn Odin 2 is down to $399 at Amazon right now, with a rare $50 off its $449 MSRP. That’s a fantastic deal considering this particular model has only ever stuck to its MSRP. This discount first landed towards the end of last month, but it’s sticking around for this year’s summer sales. Considering it’s on one of the best gaming handhelds out there, especially for retro fans, that’s a must-see.

Amazon showcases its best-selling gadgets and gizmos all year round, but over Prime Day this page becomes a treasure trove of discounts. This is a fantastic round up to keep bookmarked – you’ll see exactly what everyone’s grabbing over Prime Day, so you don’t miss out on the biggest offers.

Top Tip: Lightning deals are rarely as good as they say they are

Amazon Prime Day can come through with its Lightning Deals, but it’s rare. I often see the same budget-branded gadgets flying through this bargain bucket page every year, and having spent a lot of time price-tracking them in the weeks leading up to the big show I can tell you some of them aren’t even on sale.

Amazon will raise the prices of certain items running up towards Prime Day before dropping it back down to its ‘regular’ selling price for a round of lightning deals. That means you’re not actually saving any money at all, even though it might feel like it with the clock ticking.

Of course, there are some offers that are worthwhile (and when they appear I’ll be bringing them right here). In general, though, it’s best to stick to what you know you need.

Amazon just shaved 15% off my favorite gaming keyboard, but I’d hold the line on this one

SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 keyboard on a wooden desk with wrist rest attached

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 is the best gaming keyboard on the market right now, and I’ve just watched its price drop at Amazon. The $239.99 deck has dipped to $203.99 in the last couple of hours, but it’s got further to go.

I’ve seen this keyboard at $197.99 reliably during previous sales events and there’s nothing to suggest we won’t be back at this position (or even lower) tomorrow. This is one to bookmark, though, and early price wiggles can suggest bigger discounts to come.

Will the Nintendo Switch 2 be back in stock this week?

I’m tracking all the best Prime Day deals for gamers here, but I’m also watching over the world of Prime Day Nintendo Switch 2 restocks this week. While things have been quiet for some time in the US, I’m holding out hope that we’ll see some movement over the next couple of days. Retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart will be looking to compete with Amazon in every way they can, and taking advantage of the fact that the house of Prime has been without Switch 2 stock since the beginning would be a fantastic move.

We could well see stores listing these handhelds online in a bid to get more eyes on their competing sales, but only time will tell.

Newegg’s anti-Prime Day sale just launched

Phil’s been scrolling Newegg’s whole site for anti-Prime Day deals today, and monitors, handhelds, and CPUs are coming up strong. The brand’s FantasTech sale is running all the way through to July 13 – lasting a few more days than Bezos, and is mostly concerned with PC gadgets.

PSA: You don’t need to be a Prime member to take part

Yes I know, the biggest Prime Day deals will be reserved for paid subscribers but there are plenty of discounts out there on the web right now. Some with come from Amazon itself, but most will land at retailers like Best Buy and Walmart. Both of these stores have launched competing sales, spreading across everything Amazon usually covers between them.

While you won’t find as many budget brands battling it out, those on the hunt for gaming gadgets from mainstream manufacturers can find plenty of price-matched deals available right now.

Hear me out, this portable projector is well worth a look this summer

The Yaber T2 is a budget projector by today’s standards, but it still runs off its own battery for around two hours, offers up surprisingly detailed FHD picture, and comes in an easily portable package. It’s one of my favorite throwers in the game right now, and it’s $100 off ahead of Amazon Prime Day.

That means you’re getting the impressively robust device for just $249.99 right now. No, it’s not going to run your PS5 games in full 4K or at the speeds you’ll need for competitive endeavors. Nintendo Switch sessions in the garden though? That’s where this model shines.

We know Prime Day officially starts tomorrow, July 8 but if you’re looking for first pickings of those discounts you’ll need to stay up late.

Amazon has a countdown timer live on its site and at the moment we’re about 15 hours (ET) away from the main event. That means Prime Day deals will hit the shelves at 3am ET.

Woot just dropped a whole wad of Nintendo Switch game deals

Woot is an Amazon brand, but it seems to offer far better Nintendo Switch game deals than the full site. I’ve just had a look at what’s up for grabs ahead of Prime Day, and things are already looking good. New releases aren’t immune here, with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD taking the top spot and last year’s The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom returning to its lowest price yet as well.

What’s more, Prime members can grab an extra 10% off all these games in the Woot app.

What counts as an early Prime Day deal?

Amazon runs deals all the time, so what actually counts as an ‘early’ Prime Day deal.

Personally, I include any discount that’s at or near a record-low price or is already exclusive to Prime members. These are the savings I would expect to see over Prime Day itself, but just so happen to be hitting the day before, rather than the day-to-day deals we could see at any point of the year.

My go-to controller is cheaper than ever

EasySMX X10 controller on a black shelf with a plant next to it

This is one of my favorite early Prime Day deals. The EasySMX X10 is down to $26.99 at Amazon right now, the lowest price I’ve seen so far. This gamepad is always parked at my desk. It’s a super simple wireless gamepad but still features clacky mechanical face buttons and its own set of back paddles for additional inputs as well. You’re usually paying three-figures for those clicky ABXYs if you opt for Razer, but the X10 is already far cheaper without a Prime Day discount.

It’s also compatible with Nintendo Switch, but I’ve found the 2.4GHz receiver is much stronger in a desk setup. Parked a good distance from a couch, it can struggle to maintain a speedy input on Nintendo Switch.

You’ll need a Prime membership to take advantage of this week’s Prime Day deals, but if you’re aged 18-24 you can grab the $14.99 subscription for 50% off.

That works out as $7.49 per month and still offers all the shipping, streaming, and exclusive discounts as the full membership.

Top tip: check other retailers

We’re only just getting started with this year’s Prime Day deals, but it bears repeating – always check other retailers before heading to checkout. July is a competitive month and stores are looking to outdo each other constantly. That means some retailers will be offering lower prices, but it also means you could save in other ways.

Even if sites like Best Buy and Walmart are price-matching Amazon, I often see additional incentives added to sweeten the deal. This could come in the form of extra free subscriptions or additional discounts on other accessories. Prime Day isn’t all about Amazon, and you’d be surprised how often competing stores will undercut Bezos.

Some products to watch

There are a number of gadgets that have jumped up in price over the weekend – a sure sign that big things are coming on Prime Day itself. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, for example, was sitting pretty at $224 on Amazon’s site towards the end of last week. That’s shot up to $354 today. These are the kinds of products you want to be watching when midnight strikes, Amazon is upping the prices now so that it can shout about a larger saving when its official sale begins.

Nacon Revolution 5 Pro | now $199.99, was $129.99 at Amazon
