One of the leaders in analyzing video game performance, Digital Foundry, has put the Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 through its paces, and its image quality is better than the Xbox Series S, all the while running at a consistent 60 frames per second (FPS) in the competitive game modes.
A large part of the strong performance for the Switch 2 is due to the addition of DLSS, which is a feature we’ve praised numerous times here, although it’s a shame this option is still not enabled for PC users. Maybe we’ll get lucky and DLSS for PC users will come packaged with the update that brings Sagat, Outfit 4 and other features into the game on August 5, 2025.
In docked mode, the Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 runs at a fixed native 960×540 resolution, with DLSS upscaling it to a standard 1080p resolution.
Because of the magic of DLSS, the game looks even better than the Xbox Series S version of the game.
Some of the trade-offs for this performance include a reduction of reflective surfaces, shadows and backgrounds being more static than the high settings on PC.
Check out the side-by-side images Digital Foundry put together, and make sure you check out the video as well to see them in motion, so you can draw your own conclusions.
