In that position, I could definitely see doing the last plan when you don't have the network of investors. Take liquid quality sellables and plan for a bit of a 'future' boost when it's moved after real market advertising/discussion/etc.
Dennis knew what he was doing. Was he wrong? Eh… that's up for debate. He 100% knew what he was doing by making that offer to someone who did not know any better. Why they still chose that offer is a mystery.. maybe a steam trade was more trusting for him than some offer that could end up becoming a scam. Idk, I dont own a skin over $60 so I dont know how these big dollar trades go private party.

Like maybe he wanted a dlore, and even though he could have gotten about 2 dlores for 1 kato capsule, im sure finding that trade is not that easy.

yeah, i would've taken the capsule as an older player and just sold it for like 20-23k USD for a quick sale, but i honestly am not surprised he took the offer that was much lower as a new player. if i got offered 18k USD in skins i actually love, i would've taken that over the capsule and sold some of the skins and kept others for playing. way less hassle. 13k is way less than even a quick sale of the capsule, there's no excuse to take that, regardless of how new you are. you just hate money at that point.
