Many gaming companies have opted to replicate the Nintendo Direct formula since it’s been so successful. As such, Bandai Namco has announced that their next Bandai Namco Summer Showcase is scheduled for July 2 — this next upcoming Wednesday.
The presentation is set to begin at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET. Notably, they’re putting a great deal of emphasis on a new game from the My Hero Academia, which may or may not be a new fighting game.
Other games that will have a presence in the live presentation include Code Vein 2, The Blood of the Dawnwalker, Death Note Killer Within, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots, Little Nightmares 3, Patapon 1+2 Replay, Shadow Labyrinth, Super Robot Wars Y and Tekken 8.
For us fighting game fans, this means we have confirmation that there will be some news regarding Tekken 8. The next DLC character coming to the game is Fahkumram. He’s set to be released on July 10, 2025.
Of course, we also already know the character coming after Fahkumram. Indeed, Armor King will be made available sometime in fall 2025. It’s been confirmed that Fahkumram will be appearing in the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase.
However, we’ve yet to see Armor King’s gameplay despite how popular he is within the Tekken community. It’s possible his gameplay trailer debut may occur during the upcoming presentation.
