Super Smash Bros. Ultimate concluded its post-launch development after Sora was added, resulting in a roster consisting of 86 characters. Despite this impressive number, there are a still a bunch of characters that fans would like to see added to the series sometime in the future.

Although Crash Bandicoot has a long history with the PlayStation consoles, this has not stopped characters like Cloud and Snake from getting in. It feels like Crash Bandicoot is long overdue to join at this point.

Through the power of modding, Crash Bandicoot has been revert backed to his polygonal form for Super Smash Bros. 64 via Smash Remix 2.0.0. This provides us with an interesting take on how Crash Bandicoot would function in the platform brawler environment (since we never got to see it happen for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale either).

As such, it should come as no surprise that Crash Bandicoot has some sort of spin attack in his arsenal. Based on the trailer, this is an attack that’s particularly effective at comboing opponents, whether it gets used on the ground or in the air.

Crash’s up special is fairly similar to how Incineroar’s main recovery special works in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. First Crash will ascend upwards before dropping down with a belly flop. Apparently if he hits the ground with this move, he’ll burrow. He can then use another attack to unburrow from the ground.

Within this trailer, Peach and Lanky Kong are also revealed as playable characters. Lanky Kong has to be one of the more bizarre characters that’s ever been made playable in a Super Smash Bros. game, officially or unofficially.
