It’s crazy to think that it’s been over 30 years since Street Fighter 2 was released into the arcades. Ryu ended up returning from the first Street Fighter to be the poster boy for Street Fighter 2 and has continued to be a mainstay for the entire series.
Like everyone else in Street Fighter 2, Ryu would display quite the bloodied defeat pose upon beating him. It would seem that Goh_Billy has taken it upon himself to recreate this pose in cardboard form.
Under normal circumstances, it’s typically the winner of the match has that some of their dialogue revealed to the loser. This is actually how the famous line “You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance!” came to be known.
However, Goh_Billy has opted to have Ryu, the loser in this case, say something to the player about their current predicament. “I can’t continue without you!” exclaims Ryu within the recreated scene.
To get Ryu to revert to his normal, battle-ready face, one simply only needs to slide the cardboard “coin” into the coin slot. Notably, Goh_Billy points out how he has labeled the coin as “you” for extra flavor.
Indeed, upon doing this, the blood on Ryu’s face will be clear up, just like with what happens when the player continues from a game over screen at the arcades.
