PlayStation and Arc System Works announced Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls earlier this month, and while we’ll have to wait until next year to play it, there’s something else that could help tide fans over.
A “new” Marvel fighting game has now released on PC, and it’s free to play.
After being revealed a few months back, Marvel Contest of Champions is now available on Steam.
The 1v1 fighter is a port of the mobile free-to-play title that’s been running for over a decade.
Contest of Champions features over 300 playable characters from the Marvel heroes and villains roster including Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man and many more.
This PC version supports enhanced HD visuals running at 60 fps as well as an overhauled UI that supports remappable inputs for both controllers and keyboards.
The game is also said to feature cross-play and cross-progression with the mobile version of the title, so players can freely swap between PC and phones.
To celebrate the new release, developer Kabam is running a launch objectives event where players can earn champion selectors and material by playing the game.
