CEO 2025 is this massive fighting game tournament that’s been happening this past weekend. At this tournament, the Street Fighter 6 competition is a Premier event for the Capcom Pro Tour 2025 while players are competing at Tekken 8 for that Master Tier event spot for the Tekken World Tour 2025.
As such, nearly 840 registered to compete at Street Fighter 6 while around 650 signed up to play Tekken 8. This gives us an interesting opportunity to look at the top 128 character usage stats for both titles in order to gauge how their respective metagames are developing.
Despite both characters receiving numerous nerfs in the Season 3 patch, Ken and Mai ended up being the most popular picks at the event. Counting secondaries, both characters were played by 11 players each in the top 128.
It’s interesting to note that Elena, the latest combatant to join Street Fighter 6, did see usage by one player as a secondary. As a result, every character in Street Fighter 6 saw at least some usage in the top 128.
It ended up being a similar story with Tekken 8, as all 37 fighters, including Anna (the latest DLC character for Tekken 8), got used in the top 128.
What’s interesting is that Anna actually saw the most usage with a total of eight players using her. After Anna, the most used characters ended up being Jin, Law, Lee and JACK-8.
