The largest fighting game event of the year is less than two months away now, and Evo 2025 will be here before you know it.
Before normal registration closes later tonight, the Evo organizers have now released the updated registration leaderboard to show how the eight mainstage titles are performing — and there’s some shakeups compared to the first Evo rankings for this year.
They obviously won’t be sharing the full number of players for each game until registration is fully closed, so we’ll just have to make due with these charts for now.
Unsurprisingly, Street Fighter 6 is still the top dog overall where it’s sat since the game released in 2023.
Street Fighter managed to pull in an impressive 5,265 players for Evo 2024, so it’ll be interesting to see if the game can match or beat those numbers in its third year.
Despite the rocky launch of Tekken 8 Season 2, Bandai Namco’s flagship fighter remains in the number two spot for its second year.
Tekken 8 brought in 4,646 players for its first Evo, so we’ll have to wait and see what the numbers are going to look like for its second outing.
With that new game smell, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is still in third position, so it seems like the game’s actual release wasn’t enough to push it above Tekken (not yet at least).
But that $2.5 million SNK World Championship prize is probably helping it a good bit.

Then we have Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising retaining there spots as well.
Interestingly, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has actually been bumped down by Under Night In-Birth 2, so this year’s legacy title has dropped to seventh place.
And finally, Mortal Kombat 1 is sitting at the bottom.

On top of the mainstage lineup, Evo also shared the registration leaderboard for their extended lineup of games this year too.
Rivals of Aether 2 actually came out on top right now interestingly followed by BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. and Capcom vs. SNK 2.
The rankings are then rounded out by The King of Fighters 15, Samurai Shodown, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

Normal registration is set to end in just a few hours at 11:59 p.m. PT, so those wanting to jump into the action are running out of time before things get even more expensive.
Evo 2025 is set to take place from August 1–3 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We’ll find out soon if the fighting game community can make this the largest event ever.
