Capcom has been enjoying unprecedented levels of success over the past five years or so, and things are still looking up for the developer.
The company recently updated its Platinum Titles page, providing a new look at how its fighting games have been performing.
As was previously confirmed, Street Fighter 6 now sits at 4.67 million copies sold worldwide as of March 31, 2025.
That’s an increase of around 270,000 additional units over the previous quarter since SF6 was previously at 4.4 million at the end of last year.
This keeps Street Fighter 6 as Capcom’s 20th best-selling game ever just behind Street Fighter 2 on the SNES and Street Fighter 5 for singular releases counted by the company.
Speaking of Street Fighter 5, their last flagship fighting game saw an increase as well up to 7.8 million, so it’s inching ever closer to 8 million, which it may reach later this year if it continues to push units.
The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection was also boosted up to 3.5 million after the last quarter.
Although the Marvel vs. Capcom series received an increase for multiple titles last time around, but that’s not so much the case right now.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 remained the same over the previous quarter, and the series as a whole still sits at 12 million games sold across all titles.
Moreover, it appears last year’s Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection has yet to cross the 1 million sales threshold to make it on the list.
The only thing we’ve really heard about the game’s performance was that the MvC collection was selling exactly in line with their forecasts, but that was quite some time ago.
It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes the Marvel collection to reach that mark, but as long as Capcom is pleased with it’s performance, that’s what ultimately matters most to drive hopes for more in the future.
