Rde is known for reenacting iconic fighting game moves. This usually end up being pretty silly depictions of these techniques when actually seen in real life.
Recently, Rde opted to showcase more projectile attacks in one of his latest clips. This time, these moves come from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Mortal Kombat X.
As such, Rde ends up doing a demonstration of the Piranha Plant’s Ptooie special. Although Piranha Plant is overall recognized as being one of the weaker character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Ptooie is still generally observed to be one of the best attacks in the entire game.
To perform this, Rde dresses up in a green tracksuit with an image of the Piranha Plant’s head taped to his face. It’s pointed up, allowing him to simulate blowing upwards to cause the ball to float, before he tosses it at his target.
Following this, Rde then showcases Jill Valentine’s “Flame Zombie” special. Rather than actually lightning someone on fire, Rde instead performs the same animation as Jill in real life, and then throws a doll from off camera at the opponent.
Finally, it would seem that Rde was inspired by the way Justin Wong used Jax in Mortal Kombat X. Rde ended up using a toy that is similar to a nerf gun to fire off bazooka rounds at his opponent.
