What I didn’t know(until rewatching Stanley557’s first reaction to the map) is that each mark 2 corresponds to the lore of each owner, and weren’t just randomly chosen
Josiah Shem promised his followers immortality. The Mark 2 shotgun variant spawns a sigil on the ground, which when you stand in it makes you [TITLE CARD], or in this case, Immortal.
Mallory was a bootlegger who sold alcohol during the era of Prohibition, got mad rich from it. The SMG mark 2 variant spawns fire, alcohol is of course flammable, and after hard liquor your throat may burn unless you get a chaser(totally not me). A bit weaker of a connection but still
Lastly, Colton ran a nuclear plant that ended up getting tons of people sick cause of shitty maintenance. The Mark 2 sniper thing for his painting spawns Toxic waste on the ground, like from a nuclear plant
Additionally, Colton is revealed as the owner who bought the T Rex skeleton. In the boss, the T Rex spews toxic gas, zombies, etc.
