Bandai Namco has announced that the MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is launching in Europe, North America, and Latin America in 2025. The title will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with full cross-platform support between PC and mobile devices.

Expanding the Blue Protocol Universe

Building on the stylized foundation of 2023’s Blue Protocol, Star Resonance maintains the series’ vibrant anime aesthetic while introducing new systems designed to deepen its MMORPG mechanics. The sequel aims to push further into customization, exploration, and community-driven gameplay.

Character builds can now be shaped through a mix of class choices, skill sets, talent trees, and gear combinations. Combat retains the action-forward feel of the original but promises more variety through ongoing content updates that tweak and expand tactical options.

More Than Just Looks

Beyond visuals, the updated character customization tools promise a broader range of personalization. Players can define both their avatars’ appearance and combat roles with greater flexibility, adding individuality in both solo and co-op settings.

The open world also plays a major role, with the promise of sprawling landscapes dotted with dungeons, raids, and story-driven quests. Social features such as guild systems, trading, and recurring in-game events aim to reinforce the multiplayer focus, giving players reasons to engage beyond the main campaign.

Cross-Platform Play and Progression

Star Resonance introduces full cross-play and progression syncing between PC and mobile, allowing players to maintain progress and connect with friends regardless of platform. Whether logging in at home or playing on the go, adventurers won’t need to choose between experiences.
