The PGL Astana 2025 is a Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 tournament organized by PGL, scheduled from May 10 to 18, 2025.
The tournament will invite the world’s best teams, battling for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool in an intense, high-stakes competition.
The location for PGL Astana 2025 is set in Astana, Kazakhstan.

    As an Aurora fan it feels like their run is over after EF. No way they are not winning against a T1 team. Throw after throw its crazy. I don't understand how one can team lose every round where enemy team is full eco

    EF-Aurora has always thrown games, even grand finals by losing to opponent's eco. Just sit and observe how many rounds they lose to ecos. Even when they win, they die a lot and lose so much money and fall behind in economy. It's a joke. Just see how often they lose to eco/half buy and you'll see why they suddenly lose games in which they are almost winning.

    Another issue is the calls. I am not more than a recreational 9-10 lv Faceit player but even I can follow opponent's eco rounds and be very cautious against obvious plays of the opponent. In inferno, this could be a nade push or MP9 rush from banana and mid. I say "watch out for a push guys, don't just run around to banana or mid like usual. Try to see if they're pushing or stacking, we have the weapon advantage, once we get the info, the round is ours." Or when there is an unusual smoke, I always warn the team against someone hiding in the smoke or pushing it, usually with a pop flash. Aurora is literally sleeping through it all!!! When the opponent is eco-stack, they dont check the primary stack positions and play regularly instead and get caught off guard! When the opponent pushes smokes they dont expect that and no one is watching! What are these calls man? What are they doing?

    It's the IGL's and the coach's fault in the first place. This has always been a problem for this team and they should've spotted what is wrong and fixed it already. They lost grand finals because of this for God sake!!!

    Executes are weak, calling is poor, losing so many rounds to ecos, strats are outdated and not Tier 1 level anymore. Woxic AWP rarely pops off but the AWP difference against Tier 1 times are usually very obvious. Missing too many shots! Unable to make aggressive plays like Monesy, Zywoo, Torzsi, even Shiro… Way too passive and almost never a difference maker with his AWP. Woxic feels like the rifler in the team who is also good with AWP and picks it up when the real AWPer in the team dies. He is nowhere near to be an S Tier AWPer.

    The team literally relies solely on aim and firepower. They rely on XANTARES playing an S Tier game and Wicadia surprising opponents with unusal positioning and hunting. Jottaaa is not bad, especially this game was good for him. But I can clearly tell his aim and firepower is nowhere near Xantares or Wicadia.

    I understand that there is just no better Turkish AWPer, IGL or coach to replace Woxic, MAJ3R or Fabre (coach). But this roster cannot win any S Tier tournaments with this AWPer, IGL and coach. They would be a regular play-off team and that's it. Mostly gets kicked out on quarterfinals.

    Since they're no longer a Turkish team, Aurora management should seriously reconsider turning the team into an international one. But I believe that won't happen soon around because they just signed all these guys.

    With this AWPer, IGLing and coaching, Aurora is likely to never win a trophy. Sad but true.

    navi only got the second map inferno because of aurora loosing easy rounds for stupid mistakes. Otherwise, Xantares play outperformed everyone in that server. Xanti could bend whole navi and kick in the ass.

    Ok I think we've seen enough. The EF/Aurora story has ended before it even start. They had a good run with Anubis last year and with the honeymoon with jotaa it was going great. But last 2 months they kept getting worse and worse each and every way and also other team catched up on Anubis now they barely win 50/50 of the times. It's safe to say Aurora won't be a contender any time soon if ever. I highly doubt Aurora could even close a map except Anubis against the top 4 (mouz,spirit,vita,falcons) as they can't even close against teams like Mongolz and Navi. I think Aurora is not even as good as Liquid or FaZe with simple as well. And if sunPayus goes to G2 add that to the list. That'll get you a barely top 10 spot for EF/Aurora. As a strong believer I hereby sell all my stock for EF/Aurora. Hope I'm wrong.

    The only player i feel good about in Aurora is JOTAAA believe me or not !!! being a rookie at the begining and having impacts lately is good tbh… He is good imo

    Wicadia and woxic are too inconsistent, they both are top tier on their day but they are tier 3 when they aren’t on their day…

    It's so good having Anders casting. I was cooking and couldn't watch the game but his casting cover it and I didn't miss much. Hope he'll stay with Counter strike forever

    A tournament without Mouz, Falcons and Vitality. This is the best chance Navi has of winning a trophy this year. If they choke this, then no trophy in 2025 for the so called best team in 2024.
