We only just got to see Elena in action with the recent release of her gameplay trailer. Capcom are allowing fans to play Elena early at Evo Japan 2025, but they apparently will be keeping Season 3 changes a secret for a little bit longer.
Though we know that Capcom will be implementing a few system changes with the Season 3 update, we still have very little indication as to which direction the developers are wanting to take with Street Fighter 6. Could we end up seeing a drastic shift in the meta on June 5?
Regardless, Broski recently released a video that has him talking about the changes that he’d personally like to see for the upcoming patch. For this purpose, Broski opts to limit himself to two changes per character.
Early on into the video, Broski expresses some worry that Capcom may end up giving Ryu too many buffs. It’s taken a while for people to figure the character out, but it turns out that Ryu might actually be a pretty strong character considering his second place finish at Capcom Cup 11 thanks to the efforts of 2G|Blaz.
As such, Broski actually explains why he thinks Ryu’s heavy donkey kick should be reverted back to being -4 on block. To make up for this nerf, he also has it so that Ryu’s (uncharged) Overdrive Hashogeki is now +4 on hit.
Following this, Broski ends up listing buffs and quality-of-life changes for characters like Luke, Jamie and Chun-Li while characters like Guile, Juri and Ken receive a couple of noticeable nerfs. Of course, Broski ends up talking about every character currently in Street Fighter 6 with his wish list of changes.
