Hi,

I am using an undervolted profile with an overclock created in MSI Afterburner for my RTX 4070 Ti. I have it undervolted to 1.04V with a +150MHz core clock offset (around 2880mhz). I also have an FPS cap set to 98 FPS.

After updating from Nvidia driver 572.60 to 576.28, my custom voltage/frequency curve seems to be ignored at lower frequencies. At my maximum frequency of 2880 MHz, it correctly sits at 1.04V, which is okay. However, when the frequency lowers, the voltage often still stays at 1.04V, and the GPU power draw barely decreases. The voltage only drops to around 0.89V when the frequency gets near 2000 MHz.

I tried running at stock settings, and the behavior is the same. I took a screenshot https://ibb.co/Sw78qmPs showing stock settings at 2565 MHz. It's running at 1.095V and drawing a very high 232W power. As you can see from the voltage curve displayed, it should be around 0.97V at that frequency, which should result in much lower power draw – definitely not 232W.

Driver 572.60 works correctly, every step down in MHz led to a corresponding decrease in voltage. This is quite frustrating, as the GPU temps and power draw are unnecessarily high with the new driver. Is this intended behavior by Nvidia, a bug, or something else? Has anyone else observed this same behavior in new drivers?
