At the release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, players quickly discovered that the game had a few infinite combos in it, namely for Marco Rodrigues and Salvatore Ganacci. Thankfully, SNK stepped in quickly and patched them out.
Now, another infinite combo has been discovered, but this one is very unlikely to get patched… because there’s no reason you’d ever see it in an actual match. Be aware before you proceed in this article, though — there are story spoilers for the narrative portion of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, so in case you have yet to dive into the story beats of SNK’s franchise revival, you may want to steer clear of reading on.
Now, if you’re satisfied with potential story spoilers, here we go.
When playing through Arcade Mode in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, each character has their own path and will fight one of a few different potential bosses, including characters in the roster like returning Garou: Mark of the Wolves boss Kain R. Heinlein or his subordinate Vox Reaper.
There are also two that aren’t actually playable characters in the game, one is the long-expected Nightmare Geese, though there’s another boss character who is much more likely to end up on your screen.
This boss character is referred to as Fallen Rock and is basically a version of Rock Howard who has fallen to the legacy of his bloodline and both dresses like and fights much more like his father, Geese Howard.
Neither Nightmare Geese nor Fallen Rock are actually playable in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and even if you use certain tools to enable them, they don’t actually have proper inputs to them and don’t really work entirely as characters.
But, if you do go out of your way to enable them against the developers’ wishes (though who knows, they could always be made properly playable in the future), Fallen Rock actually has an infinite to his name as it turns out.

As stated earlier, it’s highly unlikely this would get patched out since Fallen Rock isn’t even meant to be playable and for any players just playing the game normally, he won’t be. But it’s still fun to see what kind of shenanigans this boss character could get up to.
If SNK do decide in the future to make Fallen Rock or Nightmare Geese playable (which has happened with their boss characters on occasion in the past) then it’ll probably get adjusted, but for now it’s just a funny clip.
