Not all agent skins are the same size in counter strike 2 and all the unnecessary cosmetics can make them bulky compared to the default model. Let’s compare some skins and see if any are a bad idea to use.

Lets start with the Chem-Haz Capitaine. Compared to the default SAS model, its sideways projection is only 1% larger and the front projections is 4.5% larger. While it is not that much larger in volume, there is the baton that can could give your position away in certain scenarios.

The Lieutenant Rex Krikey Skin is 8% larger sideways and 8.3% larger in the front. That is pretty significant. All the extra padding around the neck, the cowboy hat, and the flippers make the model much bulkier compared to the default skin or even the hitbox, which is pretty generous in a lot of cases.

The last skin I looked at is TwoTimes McCoy, which is also pretty bulky, with a 7.8% larger side projection and a 7% larger front projection.

Here is comparison of all the skins. On the bright side, it seems like no additions extend past the default model too much.

So, are these skins pay to lose because they are larger? Or are they pay to win because they obfuscate the actual hitbox? What skins should I look at next?

  1. this vid right here is BIG, you are the BOSS, I thought no one else could notice these INVISIBLE hitboxes

  2. I’m just thinking about what my friends and I call anti camo. MW3 had a skin that was in a vivid colored comic style. Several skins in fact. And these skins literally glow in the dark and everywhere else. You were basically playing on hard mode with the skin. I’d use it just for that purpose but I didn’t want to spend the ~$20 for it.

  3. I haven't played Counter Strike games for a kinda long time, and i haven't played CS2 too, but i honestly think CSGO did the best with the factions.

Instead of allowing you to choose between 4 different factions in each teams (like in CS1.6 – CSS), CSGO have fixed factions on different maps, like in one map GSG-9 is fighting against Phoenix Crew, but on the other it was FBI against a different faction (i forgot their name).
Fixed factions in different maps may not affect your gameplay, but it does adds a little bit of story to it, and i think it's pretty cool.

  4. The extra baton could also bait the enemy, if they try to shoot you that gives away their location as well

  6. The real issue with skins is player counting. When they were all the same it made it harder for opponents to identify you. If youre top fragging with a skin, the enemy has a more immedaite recognition of the problem area.

  7. Yeah I remember when the female in all black and call of duty was The Meta because she was impossible to see and she had the smallest hit box……..

  8. I don't know, anything that makes your head bigger than it actually is would just confuse people when they felt their shots should have registered but didn't. Of course, really highly competitive players are typically going to aim for center mass, but these kinds of things have always thrown me off.

  9. skins are meant to look good not be pratical
its your choice to use them

as long as they don't allow you to blend into the background they are fine

  10. The scooba suit is so an annoying. The amount of time I've fired my awp too early and it goes through those tanks is painful.

  11. I love the generous amount of Ferrero the boutique has offered to you. I would have probably snacked on too many of them while you were filming.

  12. What's next? Atomic alloy m4 is a major disadvantage because it's a bright orange skin?

You're not below 10k elo because you were using an agent skin and you didn't make it to lvl 10 faceit because you always played the default.
At our casual level of gameplay this makes no difference at all unless there is some brutally pixel perfect hiding spot that is given away by a certain skin.

If you have any decent understanding of the game, you know how to position yourself so that the enemy will not see you when you hide behind a wall or box. Some corners could make a slight difference but please tell me which ones would ONLY make you visible with a certain skin.
