Like its just the logo yeah the colours the logo is offered in change drastically and same with the holo effects. Like do you really want another Rio or Berlin. Feels like most people are blinded by the good backgrounded stickers and forget just how many of them were hot trash.
You’re judging numbers off a major only weeks ago, obviously the numbers will be lower. How about you compare them on a date to date basis. These numbers do not clearly indicate any issue yet.

All the sticker backgrounds look the same each major. The gold effect looks like poop and not shiny at all. And you can't even hunt for your favorite player's autograph on a skin you like.
Honestly I think the community just realized that they aren’t worth the price. The odds are so bad that you’re 10 times more likely to pull a knife rather than a souvenir red. Back in the day they dropped for free, nowdays they are basically a case with crappy odds, even the most crazy gamblers will take the probability to get 10 random knives vs 1 red souvenir
to be fair as well, the vast majority of people got significantly less pickems points which means less free packages as well, even if its 1 less per player that is an ABSURD amount less so in all honestly it makes a LOT of sense given the new pickems system for the last couple of majors being harder to get points and then this last major specifically having a million upsets in every round of the tournament. so many people got pickems ruined, i had 1 singular friend that got a gold coin, the rest got silver, usually i would have 1 or 2 friends get diamond and the rest gold a couple silver. that one free souvenier matters when it comes to numbers like these
People are also most likely putting money into armory instead of the major, since thats still ongoing. why go for a low ass %, or hold packages for a weak investment that hasnt done much in the past years, when instead u can get passes n at least get items over $1
As a mostly free to play who opens very few cases, why should I waste my money on almost impossible odds and crappy items? Makes no sense for me. Armory also sucked, so it's an additional turn-off from spending money on cs.

remember a game that hasnt even launched yet called deadlock got a christmas event meanwhile in cs2 we get nothing but cheaters and transactions. i have not bought a single skin since february because of cheating and even though you youtubers fell off real quick after that fake vac update. i hold true and refuse to pay money for a game this neglected.
I think most people just bought them for coins (but they had to change them so instead of 80%+ golds, we have only 63-66% and 33% Copenhagen incident), so even less people will see a reason to lose 10$ for a single pack with 99.206% of making that 0.02$ back
They don't have trouble trade banning people but there's spin botters that aren't even getting banned… on average 4/10 players in MM/Prem are cheating.

The community can shout for months and years about legitimate missing game features or bugs or hackers, but as SOON as you start shouting about not wanting some skins anymore, tthey will do everything in their power to fix it as quick as possible. Hire few more valorant skin designers yeye trust me Valve aint what it used to be !!
