Does CS2 have a run and gun problem? Or is this game just slowly turning into Valorant?

To a lot of people, that is a legitimate question and concern. One that I would say isn’t completely unfounded, thanks in large part to clips like the one I just showed you.

But, is it actually true? Is running accuracy in CS2 too good? Let’s discuss.

  1. no, i think people started utilizing run and gun more. there has always been some run and gun, and that’s fine

  2. The problem of running and gunning is a sub-tick issue. It feels like you're always trying to track your opponent cause they never seem to stop on your screen to the point where spraying them is almost not viable at all. You can only spray reliably when people are holding angles. That wasn't the case in CSGO even on 64 tick, I could 180 spray transfer people on that game reliably and since CS2 came out I can barely control my AK.

  3. I don’t even care about run and gun, game isn’t playable with all the cheaters running around. Haven’t touched the game in forever and won’t go back until they fix it.. so I don’t expect to be back. 🤷‍♂️

  4. The problem is they're still moving on your screen, but on there's they're stood still, which makes it look like a running kill, which is extremely frustrating, Valve should have got rid of subtick a long time ago, its clearly not worked…

  5. Pistols and smgs are mostly run and gun but rifles just aren’t thats the way its been for a long time in GO and its been fine with us up until now for some reason

  6. People used to make fun if me for moving around with the pistol in GO so maybe most people just didn’t know about how moving affects certain guns more than others

  7. I dont have any network stutter when playing valorant but i cant play cs2 without rub rubber banding

  8. I'm telling you a new gamemode for CS2 that embraces this would be so fucking cool.
    A CQC themed gamemode with smaller, tighter maps. Everything in the rifle category is unavailable, and maybe. A gamemode where Shotguns and SMGs are at the top of the food chain, with inflated prices to match. Heck, maybe even bring back the riot shield for it? I'm not saying it would necessarily be better, I just think it would be really fun.

  10. Nope it’s a gun small weapons being fired while moving can kill a target, the only people complaining are people who have ak and decide to hold up close and get sprayed by smg if you have a medium range rifle hold at medium range

  11. I mean.. Tec-9? MP7? MP9? MAC-10? Running and gunning has been in the game for a long time. It was "noticed" very early on, not "unnoticed" and only noticed now with CS2 (just referencing that tweet). Any player who has been around for a while knows that a weapon like the Tec-9 has gone through many buffs and nerfs do to the run n' gun play style, and SMGs have been used that way just as long. Give me a MAC-10 on T or an MP9 on CT and most times I'm running and gunning with it (less so with MP9 compared to MAC-10). Like 98% of the time I have a MAC-10 I'm moving while shooting.. Silvers also do it NON STOP lol it's just people playing differently for sure. It's always been pretty common. Even running AWP no-scopes happen "often".. well, more often than you would expect.

  12. I don’t think it’s that run and gunning accuracy is too strong, I think it’s more that the guns that are good with run and gunning are too strong like the Mac 10 and mp9 ect, where guns like the scout and awp even the AK in a way arent that great
