new boi here trying to fine tune his fresh i7-14700k, wanted to ask if everything seems alright since I can't even hit 34k in Cinebench R23 after undervolting (I'm kinda the newbie in this overclocking/undervolting world).
My system: fresh build on ASUS B760 Proart board, cooled with Noctua NH-u12a + 3 Noctua NF-A12x25 intake fans, 1×120 rear exhaust and 1x140mm top exhaust. Case is Fractal North (glass side panel).
Right after building the rig I updated the BIOS to 0x129 microcode (Intel default settings Performance) and set proper PL as per Intel spec (PL1=PL2=253W), ICCmax 307A.
To be extra safe I also set the IA VR voltage limit to 1.4v.
XMP II enabled (64 GB DDR5@6000 MHz, not sure if relevant).
I benchmarked "stock" in Cinebench R23 and scored like 31k with bad temps, time to undervolt.
Disabled CEP, set LLC to 4.
After playing a bit with AC_LL, I found it to be kinda stable at 0.25 (pass OCCT CPU 1h), with DC_LL set to 0.8 to (kinda) match VIDs and Vcore.
R23 score 33701 (pass 26).
Is this a good score? I've seen plenty of reports of people easily reaching 35k+ with this CPU, not sure I'm doing everything correctly (temps seems a bit high to me, also they stay around 89 avg, 91 max in OCCT CPU test).
Do you see any margin for improvement?
Consider that lowering AC_LL to 0.1 crashes Cinebench, while AC_LL 0.2 scores 34k but spits out thousand of P-core #0 errors after 20' OCCT.
