Hello, everyone.
This is my first time tuning DDR5 and here's a link of the result. It passes Memtest86 (8 passes), Karhu, TM5 (1usmus v3 25 cycles and absolut 3 cycles), 3 hrs of Aida (just memory), and 12 hrs of y-cruncher VT3 with the first two hours using Aida GPU-only test for additional heat (trying to replicate a long gaming session). I'm considering it stable for me.
I'm using the Artic Freezer III 360 cooler, and it seems like the VRM fan is also cooling the RAM sticks. Max temp with GPU running at 100% for two hours was 47.5 C. So, it seems like I still have some thermal headroom.
I've seen online that DRAM voltage up to 1.5v is generally ok for DDR5 as long as temps are good. So, I was wondering if I should bump VDD, VDDQ, and VDDIO to 1.5 and trying for tighter timings – given that I'm well within the safe temp zone? Or, if the juice ain't worth the squeeze for the 7800x3d and should call it good?
Also, I've seen people bump VDD MISC to 1.2-1.3v, but I don't see that option in my Asus board. Is it called something else or is it hidden under a different section?
Any input is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S. – I can't break 60 ns in Aida latency test to save my life 😅. I've seen people regularly hit mid 50s using a 7800x3d. I know 3-5ns won't make a significant difference, but still.
