After huffing a stim inhaler, Tiny Mike says he could run on bloody stumps.
In Neuromancer, a character has her leg broken and takes a hit of a drug that allows her to keep moving and the main character thinks that with that drug she could probably walk on bloody stumps.
When I first read this line in Neuromancer it struck me as particularly brutal sounding and then to my surprise I heard it again tonight in Cyberpunk 😄
